A Better Society Without The Gospel?
It is through the propagation of the gospel and the building of the church, not through politics and the renewal of America, that we are promised that even "the gates of hell shall not prevail" (Mat. 16:18). To demand a return to an alleged "Judeo-Christian ethic" with the unbiblical expectation that the moral quality of our nation will thereby improve is to waste precious time, energy and resources that should be channeled instead to fulfilling Christ’s "great commission."

The Founding Of America
Of the 55 Founding Fathers, twenty-eight were Episcopalians, eight were Presbyterians, seven were Congregationalists, two were Lutheran, two were Dutch Reformed, two were Methodist, two were Roman Catholic, one is unknown, and only three were deists Separation of Church And State; This phrase so frequently invoked today was rarely mentioned by any of the Founders; and even Jefferson explanation of his phrase is diametrically opposed to the manner in which courts apply it today. Separation of church and state€� currently means almost exactly the opposite of what it originally mean.

Politics and Politicians

That Christians have become stupendously gullible is the understatement of the year! Just about all a politician has to do is say, "I'm a conservative. I'm pro-life and pro-family," and Christians sing his or her praises all the way to the voting booth. That is, if he or she is a Republican.

Does Presidential Character Count?
Is the top executive in this country really just filling the role of a contractor? Or does that office also include the role of ambassador, figurehead, or role model. Is he just a paid worker or is he a symbol of everything we stand for as a country?

What Do We Owe The Government?
Should we respect leaders and political systems even if we believe they are godless and corrupt? Is flag-waving patriotism a form of idolatry? Do we have the right to withhold taxes if we don't think our government is using the money wisely? Should people who have pledged allegiance to Christ become involved in politics, or should we distance ourselves from the process? How can we pray for our leaders, even if we don't like them?

Liberal or Conservative
Alhough they are too slippery to allow simple definitions, the words "conservatism" and "liberalism" contain hints as to their essential nature. Conservatives want to conserve for society what is right. Liberals want to liberate society from what is wrong. To this extent, both philosophies are in theory right and biblical. Unfortunately, in their practice both are capable of being thoroughly unbiblical.

Losing The Fight For Our Children

Are you as a parent following the instructions in Deut 6? Referring to the laws of God, it says ... “thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up” (Emphasis added).

Help Your Kids Make A Difference Parents have got a tough job to do. But you still need to parent your kids. Christian children will not grow up with a Christian perspective on world events if parents don't take the time to talk to them about what's going on. It's also necessary for parents to discuss America's heritage, economics and political philosophy to counter the Leftist propaganda that's being taught in government run schools. Instead of allowing them to be influenced by the god of electronics, get them involved in a worthwhile adventure.

Age of Accountability.. Although we have all probably heard the expression countless times over the years, it might surprise some to learn that the phrase "age of accountability" never appears in the Bible ... not even once. In fact, the concept itself is really not discussed in Scripture, although there are some OT and NT examples that have led to some speculation among scholars as to the specific age of this "magic moment" of discernment.

Santa Claus.. Pretender To The Throne For the most part, the world will tolerate stars, angels, Christmas trees, or a baby sleeping in a manger. But there’s still "no room at the inn" for the King who invites us to walk His lowly path.

Worse.. Jesus’ place has been usurped by a pleasant fat fellow boasting a red hat and team of reindeer. So how do we understand the Santa Claus phenomenon? What do we REALLY know about Santa? Is he just a harmless, friendly fellow? Or is there something or someone else hiding behind the façade?
