It has recently come to my attention that this site has been listed as being a ‘hate’ site... Presumably one that ‘hates’ gays.
Horse Manure! I do not hate gays... I know more than one person who is gay and who I care about. However, the people I ‘dislike intensely’ are the stupid ones who cannot distinguish between being opposed to a practice, and hating those that indulge in it. In any case .. I‘m not the one that said homosexuality was wrong.. God did! If you disagree.. take it up with Him. However, if you consider the Bible the Word of God you had better know what His opinion on the matter is. If you do not believe the Bible, you have the freedom to choose your own lifestyle .. Everyone Does! However remember that no one has the freedom to escape from the consequences of wrong choices. See

What The Bible Says
God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it. Marriage was conceived and born in the mind of God. His phrase, "I will make..." suggests a plan. And the phrase: "I will make a helper suitable for him..." envisions a special partnership. Note: For the woman to be described as a "helper" is anything but demeaning. The same word is used elsewhere (Exodus 18:4; Psalm 121: 1,2) to describe God. Hebrew scholars interpret the phrase " a helper suitable" as meaning "exact correspondence." NOTE: The word translated in the above Genesis verses as “woman” and “wife” is the common Hebrew word for female (ishah), even as “father and mother” refer to a man and a woman. The Greek terms that are translated “man” (aner) and “wife” (gune) in the above verses from Matthew and Corinthians likewise connote gender as being male and female. This is the case throughout the New Testament. For example, in an extensive discussion of husbands and wives in Ephesians 5:22-33, Paul consistently uses the Greek term for “female” to refer to the wife, and the Greek term for “male” to refer to the husband.

Gay Pastor Acquitted of Practices “Incompatible with Christian Teaching.''
The ordination of a person to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament is not a civil right. Therefore, the question of the ordination of self-affirming and practicing homosexual persons cannot be made a civil rights issue.
However, The church has become an institution with it’s own rules and regulations, which have no relationship to the laws of the God it claims to represent. Apparently none of these people have read Leviticus 18:22 or Romans 1: 26,27, 28. Or, if they have, they simply do not care what God says. A lesbian Methodist pastor will be allowed to continue her ministry after she was acquitted Saturday in a church trial over her sexual orientation.
After about 10 hours of deliberations, a jury of 13 pastors ruled in favor of the Rev. Karen Dammann, 47, who disclosed three years ago that she was in a same-sex relationship. Two pastors were undecided and the rest found her not guilty of practices “incompatible with Christian teaching.''
Church law prohibits the ordination of “self-avowed, practicing homosexuals.'' But the church's social principles support gay rights and liberties.
“We, the trial court, reached our decisions after many hours of painful and prayerful deliberations, and listening for and to the word of God,'' the jury said in a statement released after the verdict. “We depended upon the prayers of the whole church, which undergirded our process. We depended on the leading of the Holy Spirit.''
“The church did not present sufficient clear and convincing evidence to sustain the charge,'' the jury statement said.
Dammann and Savage got married March 11 in Portland, Ore., where officials began allowing gay marriages earlier this month.
“I think the jury was looking for a way to be faithful to the Book of Discipline and I think they did that,'' Galvan said, adding that he looks forward to Dammann's return. (Methodist Bishop Elias Galvan)
The Rev. James C. Finkbeiner, who prosecuted the case, argued that Dammann, by her own admission, is a practicing lesbian and that is all the jury needed to consider to find her guilty.
After the verdict, Finkbeiner said be believed the jury overstepped the bounds of church law. “And I don't feel bad about that. Our process is fair.''
Then, with permission from Galvan, Finkbeiner spoke for himself, recalling what his wife told him as he left their Port Angeles home to represent the church. “She said, `Jim, I hope you do the best you can. And I hope you lose,''' he said with a chuckle. “I'm glad I lost on a personal basis.''
