ON THIS PAGE - PART II Emphasis Mine In Bible Verses
The Reappearance of The Christ … Jesus Christ or 'The Christ'? The one thing you can be very sure of is that this 'christ' they speak of is NOT the Christ of the Bible. And the "reappearance of the christ" has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus Christ's Second Coming, foretold in the Scriptures, and looked forward to by believers the world over.
The Rider From The Secret Place There are only two references to a rider on a white horse in the Bible both of which are found in the book of Revelation. The rider in Revelation 19:11 is obviously none other than Jesus Christ who, in righteousness, dispenses justice. However, the rider in Revelation 6:2 is quite another matter.
Lord of the World Some nineteen hundred years before Alice Bailey was even dreamed of the apostle Paul told us exactly who the "lord of the world' was
Lucifer Theosophy teaches that when Lucifer fell, it was not a disgrace but an act of "great sacrifice". However, the name “Lucifer” neither occurs in the Hebrew nor the Greek text simply because Lucifer is not a proper name but the Latin word for ‘morning star’ or or ”day star.
The "Advance Guard" This ties in perfectly with the fact that the Lord Jesus specifically taught that the days of Noah and the days preceding His second advent would closely parallel each other.
Faith With or Without Evidence- the Choice is Yours You are perfectly entitled to take the word of a spook who showed up out of the blue one fine day, and who offers no evidence as to whether his claims are founded on fact, or fairy dust. But, be warned, the price tag is more than you might be willing to pay
The Reappearance of The Christ … Jesus Christ or 'The Christ'?
Most people unfamiliar with the New Age movement would quite naturally understand the phrase Reappearance of the Christ to mean Jesus' Second Coming. This is not helped by the fact that some New Age web sites not only refer to "the christ" but also speak of "Jesus" or even Jesus Christ".
Making it even more confusing is that in her boot - The Reappearance Of The Christ - Bailey said "when He came before, Palestine was held in the vicious grasp of the Jewish religious leaders" a statement that obviously implies that the same person will return. Emphasis Added)
... He will find a world uniquely free from the grip and hold of ecclesiasticism; when He came before, Palestine was held in the vicious grasp of the Jewish religious leaders, and the Pharisees and the Sadducees were to the people of that land what the potentates of the church are to the people in the world today. But — there has been a useful and wholesome swing away from Churchianity and from orthodox religion during the past century, and this will present a unique opportunity for the restoration of true religion and the presentation of a simple return to the ways of spiritual living.
The priests, the Levites, the Pharisees and the Sadducees were not the ones who recognised Him when He came before. They feared Him. And it is highly improbable that the reactionary churchmen will be the ones to recognise Him today. He may reappear in a totally unexpected guise; who is to say whether He will come as a politician, an economist, a leader of the people (arising from the midst of them), a scientist or an artist? [01]
However, what should be very clear from the above quotation is that this 'christ' they speak of is NOT the Christ of the Bible, and the "reappearance of the christ" has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus Christ's Second Coming foretold in the Scriptures, and looked forward to by believers the world over. Although many New Agers believe that the Biblical Jesus Christ was a very evolved being - one of several masters of wisdom or ascended masters (excuse me while I gag), they do not recognize His deity.
See The Deity of Christ Because the practical implications for every person on this planet are enormous the answer to the question of who Jesus really was shouldn’t be filed under 'differences of opinion and left at that. If Jesus was not who he claimed to be and was not who the Bible says He is only one of three conclusions is a logical possibility. He was (1) an evil lying villain, (2) a preposterously deluded madman someone we can and should ignore. On the other hand if Jesus really is (3) the Messiah, the Son of God we need to sit up and pay very close attention to what He had to say.
An all out effort is being made to convey the impression that either the Bible is so corrupt and/or the church has it so wrong that Christians wont recognize the returning 'christ' as being the same Christ who left this earth two centuries ago. (Bold added. Capitalization in the original)
If men look for the Christ Who left His disciples centuries ago they will fail to recognise the Christ Who is in process of returning. The Christ has no religious barriers in His consciousness. It matters not to Him of what faith a man may call himself. The Son of God is on His way and He cometh not alone. His advance guard is already here and the Plan which they must follow is already made and clear. Let recognition be the aim. [02]
She also asserted that the coming christ may be of any religion or none at all
The development of spiritual recognition is the great need today in preparation for His reappearance; no one knows in what nation He will come; He may appear as an Englishman, a Russian, a Negro, a Latin, a Turk, a Hindu, or any other nationality. Who can say which? He may be a Christian or a Hindu by faith, a Buddhist or of no particular faith at all; He will not come as the restorer of any of the ancient religions, including Christianity, but He will come to restore man's faith in the Father's love, in the fact of the livingness of the Christ and in the close, subjective and unbreakable relationship of all men everywhere... [03]
Bailey was highly critical of mainstream Christianity writing that much of the Church's teaching about Christ's return is directly opposed to His own intentions and that the Christian church's path has been one of "aggressive militancy"
He will not come to convert the "heathen" world for, in the eyes of the Christ and of His true disciples, no such world exists and the so-called heathen have demonstrated historically less of the evil of vicious conflict than has the militant Christian world. The history of the Christian nations and of the Christian church has been one of an aggressive militancy- the last thing desired by the Christ when He sought to establish the church on earth. [04]
NOTE: The assertion that Christianity has caused most of the killing and bloodshed in the world is so provably false that it is quite amazing how many people still indulge in this mindlessly repeated mantra.
The charge is based on the Crusades and the two Inquisitions which were utterly reprehensible. However, if anyone takes the time and the trouble to examine the facts and figures of history, they will soon realize that atheism not religion is responsible for virtually ALL the mass murders and genocide in history. For example,
26.3 million Chinese died during Mao Tse Tung's regime,
the Nobel Prize winner, Alexander Solzhenitsyn estimates the loss of life from state repression and terrorism from October 1917 to December 1959 under Lenin and Stalin and Khrushchev at 66.7 million.
One third of the entire country was put to death under the rule of Pol Pot the founder of the Communist Party of Kampuchea between April 17, 1975 and January 1979.
And, of course, lets not forget about Hitler who slaughtered 6,000,000 Jews besides other groups.
See The Real Murderers: Atheism or Christianity? Just for the record, the Bible does not teach that Christ will come to "convert the heathen" but to destroy all world systems and kingdoms and set up His own everlasting kingdom - also called Heaven. It is the individual’s decision as to whether he or she wishes to be part of it.
And, just for the record, the Bible does not teach that Christ will come to "convert the heathen" but to destroy all world systems and kingdoms and set up His own everlasting kingdom. This will include all those that have not chosen to be part of His Kingdom.
See The End Of The Age The coming Kingdom of God which Jesus said He was sent to proclaim is exactly the world most men and women would choose to live in... a place of peace and safety where there is no crime, hunger and disease, no war and, above all, no death. (See What and Where is Heaven below) However, no unrighteous, evil, unmerciful, murderous, arrogant, malicious, greedy or deceitful person can ever be a part of His eternal Kingdom. Which means, He has to first 'clean house'.
See The Two Babylons (Chapters 17 and 18 of the book of Revelation are a crucial warning, dealing with specific targets of the wrath of God.
What And Where is Heaven
If this 'christ' is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible there is only one other possible candidate - the antichrist who Jesus warned us about. Bailey’s writings about “The Rider From The Secret Place’ only serve to support this assertion
The Rider From The Secret Place
In chapter two of Externalisation Of The Hierarchy Alice Bailey analyzes the stanzas of the Great Invocation. When she comes to the line "Let the Rider from the secret place come forth and coming, save. Come forth, O Mighty One", she says (Capitalization in Original)
Here we come up against one of the oldest traditions in the world and of the ancient East; one, too, which finds its counterpart in the New Testament, where the Coming One is seen coming forth to the rescue of the people "riding upon a white horse." [05]
There are only two references to a rider on a white horse in the Bible both of which are found in the book of Revelation ie. Revelation 6:2 and Revelation 19:11. But because Revelation 19:11 portrays Jesus as riding a white horse many believe the first horseman (Revelation 6:2) to be Christ.
However the similarity begins and ends with the fact that both riders are astride identically colored mounts. We know the rider in Revelation 19:11 is none other than Jesus Christ because this rider righteously dispenses justice. However, the rider in Revelation 6:2 is bent on conquest - certainly NOT Jesus Christ
But why should a rider other than Christ also be portrayed on a white horse? In Matthew 24:4-5, Jesus warned believers not to be fooled by false Christs that quite obviously has to include the most dangerous one of all... The Antichrist.
Note: The Greek word antichristos (antichrist) does not necessarily mean 'against' or 'opposed to' Christ, but can mean 'instead of' Christ. This is another way of saying one who seeks to 'take the place of' Christ. In other words, the antichrist is a clever counterfeit of God's Messiah, which is why he is seen as riding a horse the same colour as the one Christ rides. See Footnote I - How Can Another Being Be Called “Christ”?
For Details See The First Seal
Also The Antichrist Because the idea of a coming savior/leader who sets up a golden age on earth is found in many of the worlds religions it is easy to see how a charismatic leader who promises (and seems to deliver) utopia will be accepted - even welcomed by much of the world.
Jesus' Warning
When asked what would be the sign of His coming and of the end of the age, Jesus' first words were to caution believers not to be misled by false Christs.
As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. (Matthew 24:3-5 NASB)
Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. "Behold, I have told you in advance. "So if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out, or, 'Behold, He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe them. [Matthew 24:23-26]
If there was no possibility that Christians could be deceived, then it is hardly likely that Jesus would have issued the above advice to beware.
Lord of the World
In her books, Alice Bailey makes numerous references to the "Lord of the World". A search on the term on the Lucis Trust web site brought up eight pages of absolute gobbledygook - incomprehensible and pompous jargon. One example is...
The difference between man, the microcosm, and the planetary Logos, the Lord of the World, the Macrocosm, lies in the fact that the Lord of the World is not identified with the maya which He has created, and which has its purpose in eventually bringing about the release of the "prisoners of the planet." To that Maya, HE is supremely indifferent and it is this divine indifference which has led to the great theological illusion of an anthropomorphic Deity and to the belief (in the East) that our planet is but the background. [06]
Who Exactly Is This “Lord of This World”? Paul's Warning
Some nineteen hundred years before Alice Bailey was even dreamed of Paul told us exactly the "lord of the world' was was Satan who would "blind the minds of the unbelieving"
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4 NASB)
And what an excellent job he has done so far.
Note: Satan is also called the "ruler of this world" in Ephesians 2:2 and “the prince of the power of the air” in John 12:31 and 16:11 who will be judged and cast out
Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. (John 12:31 NASB)
and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. (John 16:11 NASB)
Lucifer?
The identity of this so called messiah/lord/world teacher becomes even more clear when we consider that both (Emphasis Added)
Alice and Foster Bailey were serious students and teachers of Theosophy, a spiritual tradition which views Lucifer as one of the solar Angels, those advanced Beings Who Theosophy says descended (thus 'the fall') from Venus to our planet eons ago to bring the principle of mind to what was then animal-man. In the theosophical perspective, the descent of these solar Angels was not a fall into sin or disgrace but rather an act of great sacrifice, as is suggested in the name "Lucifer" which means light-bearer. [07]
However, the name “Lucifer” neither occurs in the Hebrew nor the Greek text simply because Lucifer is not a proper name but the Latin word for ‘morning star’ or or ”day star. Jerome who translated the Bible into Latin (the Vulgate) quite correctly used “Lucifer” [08].
As said by Daniel B. Wallace of Bible.org who taught Greek and New Testament courses on a graduate school level since 1979. (Emphasis Added)
The KJV simply reproduced the Latin in Isaiah 14:12 because they were not sure what the word meant. The KJV translators knew Latin better than they knew Greek or Hebrew. In places where they were not sure what the Greek or Hebrew meant, they simply translated or reproduced verbatim the Latin text. This has happened scores, if not hundreds, of times.
Since that time, Lucifer has made its way into English Bible interpretation as another name for the devil.
He goes on to say,
The reality is that in Isaiah 14:12 the primary or initial reference of ‘morning star’ is not to the devil but to the Babylonian king... This whole section (vv. 4b–21) is directed to the king of Babylon, who is clearly depicted as a human ruler. Other kings of the earth address him in vv. 9ff., he is called ‘the man’ in v. 16, and, according to vv. 19–20, he possesses a physical body.”
At the same time, Isaiah 14:12–15 seems to go beyond a description of a mortal king. Further, if Jesus in Luke 10:18 and John in Rev 9:1 had this passage in mind, then it is evident that there is a secondary meaning that relates to the devil himself. A double-fulfillment prophecy is thus probably in view. [09]
Although the verses speak of the downfall of the king of Babylon, the most illustrious and proud of all the monarchs, there is little reason not to believe that, in the spirit of typology, the verses also speak of the fall of Satan especially as 1 Timothy 3:6 also indicates that the cause of Satan's downfall was pride.
In his letter to Timothy, Paul wrote that an overseer in the church could not be a new convert, lest he "become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil." (1 Timothy 3:6 NASB).
It is entirely possible that both the king of Babylon and Satan wished to become like the "Most High" but what needs to be remembered by those who think “Lucifer” is this wonderful being is that he “will be thrust down to Sheol”
How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! "But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' "Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit. (Isaiah 14:12-15 NASB)
He was thrown out of Heaven with his angels
And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. (Revelation 12:7-9 NASB)
Note:What a curious 'coincidence' it is that Alice Bailey mentioned that a "great number of beings called angels by the Christian" work as "members" of the Hierarchy. [10]
And now roams the earth with "great wrath" seeking who he may devour. And what better way to "devour" people than by causing them to believe that the coming antichrist will be the savior of the world.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NASB)
For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time." (Revelation 12:12 NASB)
But, his time to deceive people is extremely limited. The day is not far off when he will be forever cast into the "lake of fire".
And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelation 20:10 NASB)
The "Advance Guard"
Alice Bailey wrote that the Hierarchy's closer relations to humanity would lead to the "reappearance of the Hierarchy on earth" [11] and made no bones about the fact that 'the christ's' coming would be preceded by "the Masters" who "will walk openly among men" (Bold added. Capitalization in the original)
You will note, therefore, how the three divine aspects are united in one great movement to bring in the Kingdom of God, and that the first step towards this longed-for consummation is the appearance of the Masters upon the physical plane, and then, somewhat later, the reappearance of the Christ. [12]
This will indicate a return to the situation which existed in Atlantean days when (to use Biblical symbology, Genesis Chaps. 2 and 3) God Himself walked among men; He talked with them and there was no barrier between the Kingdom of men and the Kingdom of God. Divinity was then present in physical form and the Members of the spiritual Hierarchy were openly guiding and directing the affairs of humanity as far as man's innate freedom permitted.
Now, in the immediate future, and on a higher turn of the spiral of life, this will again happen. The Masters will walk openly among men; the Christ will reappear in physical Presence. Another thing that will happen will be that the ancient Mysteries will be restored, the ancient landmarks will again be recognised - those landmarks which Masonry has so earnestly preserved and which have been hitherto securely embalmed in the Masonic rituals, waiting the day of restoration and of resurrection. [13]
Note: while Genesis 3:8 does state that the Father walked in the garden in the cool of the day, it says absolutely nothing about a so called spiritual Hierarchy "openly guiding and directing the affairs of humanity".
However, sometime later, 'someone' or 'something' did walk the earth - quite freely. After Adam and Eve were banished from the garden they had children, who had children and..
(1) Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, (2) that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose. (3) Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." (4) The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
(5) Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (6) The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. (7) The LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them." (Genesis 6:1-7 NASB)
There is a great deal of controversy among Bible scholars as to the exact nature of the events described in these verses, much of which I suspect stems from the reluctance to accept anything that is even remotely bizarre. Christians do seem to like their theology nice and tidy and tend to try and explain away anything that offends their orderly version of history and the supernatural world.
We can accept one devil with horns and a pitchfork but not some mysterious and very powerful 'masters', nor angels who fathered children with human women. However, it is extremely silly to either gloss over these verses or accept the 'sanitized' version. Having accurate information is exceedingly important to prepare us for what is to come in the not too distant future.
Why do I say that?
Simply because the Lord Jesus specifically taught that the days of Noah and the days of the Son of Man parallel each other. In His words. "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man," (Matthew 24:37, Luke 17:26). He linked these two epochs together and said that one is the parallel of the other. In other words, in the days immediately preceding the return of Jesus Christ, we should expect to find conditions similar to those that existed just before the flood.
See Days of Noah
The three conditions that existed in those days were 1) The wickedness of man 2) The "sons of God" intermarrying with mortal women and 3) the mighty men of old walked the earth.
It is no coincidence that Alice Bailey wrote that there would be a return to the situation which existed in Atlantean days when the "masters" will once again walk openly among men guiding and directing the affairs of humanity. The "Masters" are not only on their way back but, more chillingly, Alice Bailey was probably right when she stated that the advance guard was already here...
In her book Initiation, Human And Solar, Alice Bailey wrote... (Emphasis Added)
In Lemurian days, after the great descent of the spiritual Existences to the earth, the work They planned to do was systematised. Offices were apportioned, and the processes of evolution in all the departments of nature were brought under the conscious wise guidance of this initial Brotherhood. This Hierarchy of Brothers of Light still exists, and the work goes steadily on.
They are all in physical existence, either in dense physical bodies, such as many of the Masters employ, or in etheric bodies, such as the more exalted helpers and the Lord of the World occupy. It is of value for men to remember that They are in physical existence, and to bear in mind that They exist upon this planet with us, controlling its destinies, guiding its affairs, and leading all its evolutions on to an ultimate perfection. [14]
Although described as "Lords" and "persons", Bailey states that these "great forces" are not to be understood in terms of human personality, but that descriptions must be couched in terms that humanity can understand. [15]
She goes on to say
The central home of this Hierarchy is at Shamballa, a centre in the Gobi desert... Several of the Masters in physical bodies dwell in the Himalaya mountains, in a secluded spot called Shigatse, far from the ways of men, but the greater number are scattered all over the world, dwelling in different places in the various nations, unrecognised and unknown, yet forming each in His own place a focal point for the energy of the Lord of the World... [16]
Although they are wrong about the identity of these so called "Masters" and will not like the outcome very much, many New Agers are far more aware of what is going on than the average Christian who is rocking himself to sleep on the porch blissfully unaware of the devastating events that will take place before the return of Jesus Christ.
As I previously said, Christians like their theology nice and tidy. To which I will add one more adjective... comfortable. Let's just 'ask Jesus into our hearts', muddle through the next few years when we will all be whisked off to heaven before the going gets rough. Good luck with that.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you read The Rapture
While the church continues to trot off to their various conferences, watch Daystar, read yet another leadership book, indulge in emerging dialogue, and argue about who Cain married... all the while waiting for a Rapture that isn't going to happen in time to save them, this planet is, not so gradually, being taken over by some of the highest intelligences in the universe, beings that are also master manipulators.
We are so busy congratulating ourselves on how 'spiritual' we have become, that we little suspect that we have actually lost all rights to call ourselves Christians. In fact, with our contemplative prayer, yoga classes, labyrinths etc. we have contributed to the raising of the collective consciousness of this planet.
As Einstein once said "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former".
See The New Age Infiltration of The Church
Conclusion... Faith With or Without Evidence. The Choice is Yours
The Major Contradiction Many of the claims made in Alice Bailey's have been accepted as true by a countless number of people around this planet. However, when are we going to learn to stop accepting things at face value, and ask a few pertinent questions. For example... (Note: this quote very clearly refers to the Biblical Jesus Christ).
Christ, in His high place, cares not whether men accept the theological interpretations of scholars and churchmen, but He does care whether the keynote of His life of sacrifice and service is reproduced among men; it is immaterial to Him whether the emphasis laid upon the detail and the veracity of the Gospel story is recognised and accepted, for He is more interested that the search for truth and for subjective spiritual experience should persist;
He knows that within each human heart is found that which responds instinctively to God, and that the hope of ultimate glory lies hid in the Christ-consciousness. [17]
To which I only have one question... how did Alice Bailey know what Christ cares about, what is immaterial to Him, and what He is interested in?
The short answer is... she didn't.
There are only two ways one person can possess this kind of information about another... a) you know them very well and they themselves have imparted this information b) know someone very close to them.
We can rule out possibility 'a' as I very much doubt that Alice Bailey actually met Christ and had a long chat with Him,
However, we can also eliminate possibility 'b' which is that Djwhal Khul knows and spoke for the Biblical Jesus Christ because the very foundation of "Ageless Wisdom" teachings are completely inconsistent with what Scripture teaches.
For example, the Scriptures have this to say about Christ's Second Coming.
For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matthew 24:27 NASB)
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:16 NASB)
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. (Revelation 1:7 NASB)
In an obvious attempt to harmonize what he says with what the Scriptures teach, Djwhal Khul endeavors to 'explain' how it is that Jesus Christ will be seen the world over
His reappearance and His consequent work cannot be confined to one small locality or domain unheard of by the great majority, as was the case when He was here before. The radio, the press and the dissemination of news will make His coming different to that of any previous Messenger; the swift modes of transportation will make Him available to countless millions, and by boat, rail and plane they can reach Him: through television, His face can be made familiar to all, and verily "every eye shall see Him." The Reappearance Of The Christ...
However, the Bible tells us that the return of Jesus Christ will be an unmistakable event seen and heard by the entire world at the same time, and that every one, both dead and alive, will see Christ when He descends from heaven with "a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God". And, even more astoundingly, as He descends, the dead in Christ (believers who have already died) will rise, followed by those of His disciples that are still alive.
No television broadcasts, newspapers, or modes of transport... Just a huge, and noisy earth shattering event, unsurpassed by anything we have ever experienced before, or ever will again.

Making a Choice
The multi million dollar question being which of the two is right. Djwhal Khul would certainly like us to believe that we can trust him over the Scriptures by casually categorizing the Bible as a system of "so-called inspired spiritual knowledge and revelation"...
Although the Bible does not glow in the dark, levitate or exhibit any other supernatural qualities, we can determine the validity and the authenticity of its claims.
It is substantiated by a literal mountain evidence that gives us unassailable grounds for believing it is the word of God. This evidence include its humanly impossible authorship, fulfilled prophecy, and it's archaeological and scientific accuracy. In fact, it is actually quite remarkable as to how many times, God, Jesus, and the prophets of both the Old and New Testaments appealed to facts to support what they said and taught.
See Section Choose Life That You May Live Many, if not most non-Christians assume that Christianity is a "blind faith"... that Christians ignore reality and without proof or evidence have unquestioning loyalty to an absolute belief system. In fact, that they believe contrary to all evidence and facts. In complete opposition to this idea the Christian faith is a commitment based on evidence. The Judeo-Christian faith consistently stresses the importance of truth and makes appeal to evidence to support it's truth claims. This evidence includes the Bible’s humanly impossible authorship, it's candor about the faults and failings of it's main characters, fulfilled prophecy, and it's archaeological and scientific accuracy... none of which are seen in the books of other religions.
Christianity is not a "blind faith", and Christians do not substitute reality with unquestioning loyalty to an absolute belief system without proof or evidence. Much to the contrary, the Christian faith is a commitment based on evidence.
What Alice Bailey and the rest of her ilk ask us to do is ignore every bit of that undeniable evidence in favor of the word of a spiritual entity that claimed to be Djwhal Khul, a Tibetan who occupies a physical body, and lives on the borders of Tibet, and who claimed that this so called 'Christ' and his cohorts were coming to better the condition of the human race by introducing a new world order etc. etc. etc.
In other words, you can, if you wish, unquestioningly take the word of a spook who showed up out of the blue one fine day, and who offers no evidence as to whether his claims are founded on fact, or fairy dust. However, be warned, the consequences for doing so are exceedingly high. See The Message of the Bible and The Warning of The Bible
In fact, it is extremely interesting that Djwhal Khul himself said in August 1934 (Emphasis Mine)
The books that I have written are sent out with no claim for their acceptance. They may, or may not, be correct, true and useful. It is for you to ascertain their truth by right practice and by the exercise of the intuition. Neither I nor A.A.B. is the least interested in having them acclaimed as inspired writings, or in having anyone speak of them (with bated breath) as being the work of one of the Masters. If they present truth in such a way that it follows sequentially upon that already offered in the world teachings, if the information given raises the aspiration and the will-to-serve from the plane of the emotions to that of the mind (the plane whereon the Masters can be found) then they will have served their purpose. Anyone, can claim to be divine, or divinely inspired. Anyone with an imagination can spout never ending torrents of spiritual sounding language (which, when you break it down is usually incomprehensible, pretentious nonsense that says absolutely nothing).
What we need to do is stop checking our brains in at the door and ask the million dollar question... what evidence supports the many claims made by various religions or the occult, regardless of whether it comes from the founder of the religion, their holy book, one of the leaders/teachers of that religion, or a spook in a turban? Those who believe that the Christian faith is nothing more than 'religious wishful thinking' are completely off track. Christianity is unique inasmuch as it is the only faith based on evidence.
As Christian apologist Glenn Miller put it... the Bible is "either totally deceptive, totally deranged, or totally divine - there is no third option like 'a very good and insightful book'!" [19]
Borrowing From The Bible
Every bit of information in the books transmitted by Dhjwal Khul is couched in language designed to sound as 'spiritual' as possible. This doubtless done so that men will go "ooh" and "aaah" and fall backwards over themselves believing that this coming 'christ' will be a world savior.
Perhaps, in order to give their claims a touch of authenticity they borrow phrases from the Scripture designed to fool as many as possible. However, if you pay close attention you will see that these little bits and pieces are usually partially quoted or even completely misquoted.
ust as an example, in an outline of the objectives facing the Hierarchy and "involving the personal attention of the Christ", Alice Bailey wrote that the “reorganization of the world religions” is necessary because (The words in bold are a direct quotation of Acts 17:28)
... of its presentation of a wrathful Jehovah, caring only for his chosen people. This is a basic evil. The Lord of the World, the God in whom we live and move and have our being, is totally otherwise.
And the “preparation for a new revelation" was important because
This quote comes from Proverbs 29:18 however, she only quotes only half the verse. Read in it's entirety, it says
Where there is no vision (Heb. châzôn), the people perish (Heb. pâra): but he that keepeth the law, happy is he". (KJV)
In the first place the Hebrew word pâra does not mean but uncover, expose, dismiss; bare, etc. Additionally, the word "but" indicates that the two halves of the adage cannot be separated. So what thought was being expressed by the author of Proverbs?
The word translated "vision" (Heb. châzôn) was commonly used of the revelation of God's will made to the Old Testament prophets. It has therefore been variously translated "oracle", "revelation" etc. For example, using exactly the same Hebrew word, the book of Samuel tells us that at that time word from the LORD was rare and prophecy was infrequent. J
Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the LORD before Eli. And word from the LORD was rare in those days, visions (Heb. châzôn) were infrequent. (1 Samuel 3:1 NASB)
In other words, people perish without revelation from the Lord. The Hebrew word pâra (rendered “perish” in the KJV) Also means to ‘cast off restraint - thus would ultimately perish)
And what revelation was this particular verse in Proverbs referring to?
The English word "law" is translated from the Hebrew word "Torah", which to the Jew meant one thing and one thing only.... the law of Moses. In summary, people are doomed without the revelation of God's law simply because if they don't know what the law says - they cannot keep it.
In Summary...
Consider this... the teachings of the Blavatskys, Helen Baileys, and all the organizations founded by or connected to them, are based wholly and solely on a mysterious entity wearing a turban and a second apparition from the nether regions who's sole claim to fame was that he was recommended by the first one.
Yet, every word these two uttered was and is treated as 'Gospel truth'- believed without reservation or question. Hundreds of thousands of people are making an effort to shape the very world on the words of a spook without credentials or any form of evidence that they are who they say they are...
It is interesting how many atheists and non believers refuse to accept that the Gospels were even written by the people whose names are attached to them. See The Reliability of The New Testament. Yet it is unreservedly accepted that these spirits are who they claim to be and that the particulars they provide are unreservedly true.
No further proof or evidence asked for and none received.
Footnote I - How Can Another Being Be Called “Christ”?
The Meaning of "christ"
Popular opinion notwithstanding, 'Christ' (Gk. Christós) was not Jesus' last name.
In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word mâshach means 'to anoint'. It was typically used when something or someone was physically anointed with oil, which usually symbolized the consecration of that object or person to a particular task. For example, Aaron and his sons were anointed to minister as priests. The temple vessels and furnishings were anointed and set apart for God's service. Although He was not literally smeared with oil, Jesus Christ was anointed to bring good news to the afflicted (Isaiah 61:1).
In classical Greek, Christós, which can mean 'covered in oil' or 'anointed', is a literal translation of the Hebrew mâshîyach which comes from mâshach. Note: The English word 'Messiah', is simply a transliteration of mâshîyach.
In other words "Christ" which simply means Messiah or 'anointed one' is a title, not a name. And that title can be hung on anyone that is perceived to, in some way, be a savior or a Messiah. (See The Anointing) [PLACE IN TEXT]
