Section XI: The Phinehas Spirit.. The story of Phinehas has become very handy passage for the Dominionists to hang their hats on, since it can be twisted to fit in with their agenda and justify their skewed ideas. However Phinehas was no vigilante. He was following orders given directly by God, through Moses.

Instruments of God’s Wrath…Then

George Hawtin in his booklet, Mystery Babylon was very clear that they were going to 'call the shots' in the tribulation. Apparently the “great and blessed move of God” was not two years old before a sectarian spirit began to show its ugly head and the teaching and discipline became “more rigid”. [All Emphasis Added]

“…There was to be no fellowship with anybody who was not within the confines of our ever narrowing circle. We were the true church. We were the elect. We stood on the foundation and all other men stood on sinking sand. No man must cast out a devil unless he followed us. No teaching was worth the time it took to tell it unless it originated with us. We were the most spiritual people in the world. We were going to reign in the kingdom and even now we were beginning to reign. We had the gifts of the Spirit, and we were going to 'call the shots' in the tribulation. The elders were no longer fathers, but men who were to carry out the will of those who were lords over the heritage of God. [1]

(As a reminder, George Hawtin, along with his brothers Ernest, and Phillip were widely acknowledged as fathers of the Latter Rain movement and was present at North Battleford in Saskatchewan. Hawtin was also secretary to Ernest (Ern) Baxter who travelled for many years with William Branham).

George Warnock added that the two-witnesses/Moses-Elijah Company/Manifest Sons of God will administer God’s power… [All Emphasis Added]

Such then, is the ministry of the Moses-Elijah Company, we are told that the “two-witnesses” shall have the power “to smite the earth” with all plagues, as often as they will (Rev. 11:6). “As often as they will” – for the simple reason that they have overcome, they abide in Christ, and their will is the very will of the Father manifested through them. They have the “mind of Christ”; so that they minister judgments according to the Spirit of God…They are sent forth into the earth to administer God’s power. If there is repentance, there is power to bless; if there is enmity, there is power to destroy. Says Paul, “To the one we are the savor of death unto death; and to the other the savor of life unto life”. (2 Cor. 2:16) [2]

In another book entitled Who Are You Warnock wrote: [All Emphasis Added]

The Church of Jesus Christ was destined and equipped with the armor of God to be a warring Church…God is preparing an army, beloved, who will go forth in the Day of the Lord to put an end to the reign of evil, and to deliver the people of God from their oppressor… [3]

Samuel Drew Fife Jr, (1926 –1979) was an ex-Baptist preacher who founded an international non-denominational Charismatic Christian group known as "The Move" and was regarded by his followers as a modern-day apostle and prophet said

“In this dispensation of the fullness of times, God is going to fulfill His purpose to bring together into one, all things that are in Christ, both in the earth and in heaven, … When He has finished preparing this many-membered man, He is going to purge the earth of every other man by His Judgment Day, and there will come in a new age, and a new earth, with a new man living in a new order, where every member is so dead to self that he lives unto the rest of the Body, and that order shall perpetuate eternal life.” [4]

And Now
The problem being that we can not dismiss the words of Sam Fife as being those of some past loony preacher with a small cult following. The Statement of Faith page of the present day site sonsofgod.com is dated September 10, 2007, and says [All Emphasis Added]

What do we believe  - That it will only take a handful, cast upon the mountains, to complete changing this age that is before us. It has never been about numbers.  Gideon – God only allowed a remnant of 300, out of thousands, to rout the enemy.  What God is doing in this hour, will be done thru His human instruments, the Sons, and it will not take many.  Only a handful, walking in the spirit,  hearing one word, following His lead, will execute as the Psalmist has spoken …the judgments written. (Psalm 149:9, Jude 7)

What do we believe  -  that it is the time. All of creation has travailed and groaned for the manifestation of the Sons - for with the release of the Sons we will find the release of all creation from futility.  (Romans 8:19)

Miracles and signs of ages past, were but a shadow or token of what we shall now see as these days unfold before us. We have no political agenda.  What needs to be done, will be done in the realm of the spirit, by the sons, that exercise authority and control. [5]

This view is far more widespread than can be imagined....

Bill Hamon writes: [All Emphasis Added]Dominion-Hamon

God’s great end-time army is being prepared to execute God’s written judgments with Christ’s victory and divine judgment decrees that have already been established in heaven. The time is set when they will be administered and executed on earth through God’s saintly army… The church – God’s weapons of war against spiritual Babylon. “You are my battle-ax and weapons of war: for with you I will break the nation in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms;…and I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea for all the evil they have done in Zion in your sight,” says the Lord…and the land will tremble with sorrow; for every purpose of the Lord shall be performed against Babylon… (Jeremiah 51:20, 24, 29 NKJV). [6]

Dominion-PaulkEarl Paulk, who was for many years at the forefront of the Kingdom Theology Movement, but was later disgraced by reports of his marital infidelities including fathering his brother’s son.

“The completion of the incarnation of God in the world must be in His Church . . . Jesus Christ is the firstfruit, but without the ongoing harvest, the incarnation will never be complete.” “We are on earth as extensions of God to finish the work He began. We are the essence of God, His on-going incarnation in the world.” [7].

C Peter Wagner says “The Church is expected to war”Dominion-Wagner

Cosmic powers of evil have been assigned to thwart the Kingdom of God on earth, but they can be confronted and defeated. Apostles are designated to lead the Church into war because it takes a government to overthrow a government. Jesus invaded the kingdom of Satan when He came to earth, and He said that that kingdom will be taken by violence. Some Christian leaders have promulgated an unfortunate antiwar movement, but the dangers of this need to be exposed. For society to be transformed, bondages related to the land must be identified and broken through informed intercession. In war the victors plunder the enemy's camp, and God will cause this to happen as never before. [8]

The web site of Wagner’s Global Harvest Ministries says they

“are looking forward to another year of gatherings which equip the Body of Christ for ministry and breakthrough. In a world where uncertainty seems to overtake our daily lives, we have purposed to offer four conferences in 2010 to help you find your footing and overcome every obstacle”.

The third of these conferences is scheduled for Sept 30 - Oct 2, 2010. Although, as of January 19th, both location and speakers were yet to be finalized, the conference has been named… “The Ark is Moving: Be Mobilized for War!” [8b]

Jill Austin: They actually compare themselves to Joseph in the Old Testament, calling themselves “deliverers” of whom regular Christians are “jealous”.

In a February 19, 2008 posting on the Elijah List called Knowing the Times and Seasons -- The Lord is Raising Up End Time Global War Generals,  Jill Austin, in a classic case of imagination trumping text, says Joseph who was greatly favored by his father was given a beautiful multi-colored coat, which was really “a reflection of the revelation of the multi-faceted gifting that was on Joseph's life”. This “made his brothers jealous” since [All Emphasis Added]

“when you have great giftings, when you start to have dreams and visions, when you start to get your head a little above everyone else, the "brothers" and "sisters" will get jealous. Many times, it comes from those in the house of the Lord. All of a sudden, they see this special anointing and gifting that is on you, and they get jealous”.

And

In the story of Joseph, the brothers tore the garment, the robe of authority that was given to him by his father, and they threw him into a pit and sold him into slavery. You see, this is part of the prophetic journey of a deliverer. A king can be put into place in one day, but the deliverer goes through decades of the fires of God to be trained in the prophetic journey. [9]

Dominion-JoynerRick Joyner and The Spirit Of Phinehas

Rick Joyner says these people will have “the spirit of Phinehas”.. [All Emphasis Added]

What is about to come upon the earth is not just a revival, or another awakening; it is a veritable revolution. The vision was given in order to begin to awaken those who are destined to radically change the course, and even the very definition of Christianity [Back Cover]. The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord's faithful servants….

“… the Lord will raise up a great company of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers who will have the spirit of Phinehas. Just as the son of Eleazar could not tolerate iniquity in the camp of the Lord, this “ministry of Phinehas” will save congregations, and at times cities and nations, from the plagues that will be sweeping the earth (See Numbers 25:1-13). [10]

(The story of Phinehas, a grandson of Aaron, who’s actions in the Old Testament are often held up as an example for all time is found in the book of Numbers. See  Section XI: The Spirit of Phinehas)

And, obviously referring the army of locusts in the book of Joel, Joyner says they will have to have physical and mental disciplines requires of elite military units

In the coming days, the most powerful army ever assembled will be mustered. This army will not be equipped with guns or swords, but no power in heaven or earth will prevail against it. … This army has been enlisted by the Lord Himself; He will train it and He will lead it. When this battle unfold its members will march in perfect order, without deviating from their paths or crowding one another, with the least of them having more power than the greatest of their enemies. This is the army of God envisioned by the prophets, soon to be a reality. To be numbered in this army will require a training and spiritual discipline exceeding the physical and mental disciplines requires of elite military units. [11]

The Sonsofgod  And The Jawbone Of An Ass
In an article entitled Sonship - The Hidden Message, on the afore mentioned site … sonsofgod.com, the author says [All Emphasis Added]

God’s message is one of Authority and Power, for God’s agencies of the judgments and His mercies will be His sons in this hour. We are not just tuning into what will come to pass, and warning everyone, we are creating what is coming to pass… There is no other message. Christ said in the New Testament, I come not to bring peace, but I come with a sword...The message is one of moving in His power….

We are the Christ and that is not some placard that we will hang on the wall to convince ourselves, or anyone else of - it is a reality of Christ as He was in the house of the moneychangers -- And that must be done through a people, for He never works outside of human channels - His sons….

It is time to rise up with the jawbone of an ass, as Samson, and begin to slay the wickedness….

There is a growing presence of many intelligences from other levels of existence who have come to behold what is taking place on the earth at this time, because God is doing something new that no eye has ever seen. No one, especially the other intelligences and spiritual orders which have come to watch, understand just what it is that God is doing. But we know, for it has been the mystery hidden for all ages - Christ in us. We are not talking about some new age "the Christed one", we are talking about God incarnate, Jesus incarnate, within us in a oneness that will please the Father. And everyone is watching, even the Angels, with awe, as God releases and finishes the creation of a new species of life - the Sons of the Living God. [12]

So if it is time to rise up with the jawbone of an ass and begin to slay the wickedness, the question arises… What (or who) is counted as this “wickedness”? Amazingly the logical conclusion of radical Dominionist teachings is that no Christian outside of the Dominionist system is a bona fide member of the Kingdom of God, therefore members of the orthodox church, have been identified with the antichrist and are lined up in their cross hairs…

Orthodox Believers a.k.a. Antichrist
As said by Barbara Aho

Are you having difficulty discerning or receiving this "new revelation"? Then perhaps you have been interpreting your Bible in the "old way" -- comparing Scripture with Scripture, studying diligently to account for every jot and tittle and being careful to rightly divide the Word of truth. If this describes you, then you belong to the "Old Generation" which will not enter in to "possess the land" in the Latter Rain Revival.  You may even be a member of a denominational church with its dogmatic confession of faith and statement of doctrine. These legalistic forms will be relics of the past in the up and coming "Postdenominational Church."  Paul Cain advises that you "dump all that carnal stuff" (doctrine) and listen to what the "spirit" is saying to the churches through the Latter Rain Prophets and Apostles, who are dispensing many "new, sacred truths."  [13]

Tricia Tillin in The New Thing writes: [All Emphasis Added]

Scripture identifies the Antichrist as those who deny that Christ “is come in the flesh”. If an anointing, or a glory cloud, is believed to be the coming of Christ into a body of flesh (His Church), then anyone who denies the reality of such a thing could be labeled, scripturally, an Antichrist. Because we deny that Christ has come invisibly into this body of people – thus we are the antichrist and we must be destroyed”.

Far fetched? Unlikely ever to be applied to us? Well, the reasoning has already been applied by Earl Paulk who wrote… [All Emphasis Added]

“Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus is come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming and is now already in the world. (I John 4:3) When John dealt with identifying the Antichrist, he said the spirit of Antichrist was already at work. This spirit was identifiable by the fact that it…does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is an area in which we must test the spirits. The greatest test of the Antichrist is its attitude towards the Church – Jesus Christ Himself is not a threat to any community unless there is a living thriving church in that community. Therefore, the spirit of Antichrist refuses to recognize that God is HERE IN THE FLESH. Attacking such figures as Oral Roberts, Jim Baker, and Kenneth Copeland [is] attacking the Church of Jesus Christ - such mockery and criticism are the means by which the spirit of Antichrist operates.” [14]

Rick Joyner, senior pastor of MorningStar Fellowship Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina (more about him below), is very effectively preparing the way for any person who clings to the doctrines of the Bible to be identified as the real enemy, adds [All Emphasis Added]

"The change that is coming to the body of Christ is so profound that the world will have a new definition of Christianity... Those who submit to Him in truth... will be the most dangerous and powerful people on earth, and will be the greatest threat to the Antichrist spirit that now sits in the church as a substitute for Him." [15].

And [All Emphasis Added]

"'Here is wisdom.  Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six' (Revelation 13:18).  The number 666 is not taken arbitrarily.  Because man was created on the sixth day, the number six is often used symbolically in the Scriptures as the number of man. This number is further identification of the spirit of the beast, which is the spirit of fallen man.  In verse 11, we see that this beast "comes up out of the earth." This beast is the result of the seed of Cain having been a "tiller of the ground" or earthly-minded.  The beast is the embodiment of religion that originates in the mind of man.  It comes up out of the earth in contrast to Christ who comes down out of heaven." [16]

Kenneth Copeland says something similar… going to great lengths to try and prove that since the word Christ means anointing, every time you come to the word Christ in the Bible you should re-translate it, “the anointing.” Jesus was a man who was Christed, He had the anointing. Now that same anointing is coming upon the Church, and if you oppose it you are anti-anointing, and that makes you anti-Christ!

“Once you start re-translating the word Christ, as anointing you’ll realize how the message of the anointing permeates the entire New Testament. Even in those early days, the Devil sent people in to steal the message, --- people with the spirit of Anti-Christ (anti-anointing). For if you re-translate the word Anti-Christ you’ll realize it’s referring to someone who is opposed to the anointing.” [17]

Except that If you check every single Biblical reference to ‘The Anointing’ you should pay attention to the fact that .. There is not ONE SINGLE reference to the anointing being a supernatural power given to human by which they are able to perform miracles... There is not ONE SINGLE reference to anyone being able to transmit the anointing by any means, including the laying on of hands... There is not ONE SINGLE reference to getting, keeping, increasing, or losing the anointing.

However consider this..  In Matthew 24, on the Mount Of Olives, the disciples came to the Lord privately saying “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”  Jesus’ first words in answer to them were “Take heed that no man lead you astray” (v.4) and then He went on to say “ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray”. (Emphasis added)

When people read “Jesus Christ” in the Bible, they assume Christ is Jesus’ surname. However Christ, which means Anointed, is not Jesus’ surname, but His title. The Word Mashiach in Hebrew was translated into Messiah in English, and Khristós in Greek. In the four Gospels, the word "Christ" is nearly always preceded by the definite article… He is Jesus...The Christ, or Jesus...The Messiah.

So, Jesus answered a direct question about what signs would signify the end of the world with a warning that ‘Many would come in His name claiming they were ‘anointed’. [See Section on The Anointing]

At this point in time we have to make the switch to the more extreme faction of Dominionist theorists. I am not aware at this time of others who share their murderous views, although I do not doubt that they exist.

A Civil War?
Warnock was clear that Christians who teach the Rapture will be included among those targeted.

Your refuge in doctrines about the Second Coming that promise safety and security will be swept away when the hailstones of God begin to fall. No wonder the teachers and the prophets and those who assure the people that God will snatch them away from it all, will scramble for safety in that day, and find none… The Day of the Lord, the day of vengeance. Vengeance for what? For His temple. God has a controversy with Zion. And after the cleansing of Zion He will deal with Babylon… That system that has captivated His people and prevented them from becoming His own dwelling place in the earth. [18]

While the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is nothing but a figment of the imagination [See The Rapture], Warnock is certainly is not alone in his murderous views…

Jack Deere, currently the senior pastor of Wellspring Church in North Richland Hills, Texas, served with Dominion-DeereJohn Wimber in the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Anaheim, [See Vineyard Churches] CA. and “traveled around the world with him doing conferences on intimacy with God and the Holy Spirit” [19]. In an audiocassette message entitled Joel’s Army Deere proclaims:

How is God going to bring judgment upon his Church and then judgment upon the land after his Church? He’s going to do it with a large and mighty army. Now what is this army like? He says, first off in verse 3, well first of all he said that this army is totally unique. This army, there’s never been one like it and there never will be one like it in ages to come… “Begin the slaughter and begin it in the temple and begin it with the elders, the leaders of my people.” And they walk through the land and they start and they begin to slaughter and you know God has already started that? He has already started with the biggest names in His household? He has already started the slaughter…And, it is coming now among the Church. He’ll start with the leaders, but He’ll move out into the Church. That’s why when He says in verse 2, “It’s a day not of rejoicing and happiness, it’s a day of darkness and gloom. It’s a day of clouds and blackness, like dawn spreading across the mountains…” [20]

Dominion-JoynerRick Joyner is senior pastor of MorningStar Fellowship Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He and his wife Julie Joyner founded MorningStar Publications and Ministries in 1985. Morningstar Ministries has recently purchased and begun to restore Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker’s former palatial “Praise The Lord” PTL building complex near Charleston, South Carolina.

In 2004 MorningStar purchased part of the Heritage USA complex (originally established by Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker), including the Heritage USA Grand Hotel, Main Street, Conference Center, incomplete high-rise, and castle, with 52 acres (the original site was 2400-acre site). The complex has been renamed Heritage International Ministries or H.I.M. and The Heritage Grand Hotel, is being refurbished as a conference center and ministry base. [21]

Rick Joyner is also closely associated with Todd Bentley, former leader of the Lakeland Outpouring. He was one of the pack of wolves who came to the 10,000-seat tent to ‘commission’ Bentley as an evangelist, and is also involved in Bentley’s “Restoration Process”. He yet claims that “Todd is a true servant of God” [22] Far from being “a true servant of God”, Todd Bentley did a very effective job of promoting the other side.  [See Todd Bentley’s Circus Side Show From Hell]

Incidentally Joyner is also a false prophet who claimed that “The Lord told me to observe the problems that Y2K will cause in the natural world as a reflection of the problems we have in the body of Christ.” And

“The most severe difficulties will come from the panic generated by the situation” [23]

Joyner, like the rest of the modern day church’s mystic/prophets is not unknown for generous use of out-of-context Scripture twisted to suit preconceived theological ideas. He claims that God gave him a vision of a coming “civil war” soon to take place in the Church, which is supposed to parallel the American Civil War in many ways. [All Emphasis Added]

Like the American Civil War, the coming spiritual civil war will also be between the Blue and the Gray. In dreams and visions blue often represents heavenly-mindedness (i.e. the sky is blue), and gray speaks of those who live by the power of their own minds (i.e. the brain is often called “gray matter”). This will be a conflict between those who well may be genuine Christians, but who live mostly according to their natural minds and human wisdom, and those who follow the Holy Spirit. [24]

This is perhaps the most revolting statement that that has ever come out of the mouth of a so called Christian minister… a battle that will be fought, by the heavenly-minded Blues on one side, and the Grays, who “well may be genuine Christians” on the other. Nothing is said about sin, nothing is said about unrighteousness, nothing is said about core Christian doctrine and, amazingly, the only reference to Satan in Joyner’s diatribe is that his “strand of three cords" (the control spirit, the political spirit and the religious spirit), by which he is yoking multitudes of believers, must be confronted and removed from our midst”.

The only enemy seem to be the so called “Grays” … Christians who use their brains, check everything by the Word of God, reject any doctrine that is not based solely on Scripture and dismiss all extra-biblical revelations and visions that do not conform to what the Word of God says. In other words those Christians that do not agree with Joyner’s (and others of his ilk) menace. [See Section XII: Excuses for Gullibility]

Disagreement and division seem to be the greatest sins that a Christian can commit in much of today’s church. The all important words being are unity and cooperation… seemingly at any price. As Tricia Tillin of Cross + Word ministries points out…

If people enter into the kingdom of God by coming under the rulership of the Restoration leadership, then firstly it makes obedience to authority the qualification for the Kingdom, and secondly it rules out any Christian who does not happen to bow to the Restoration system. [25]

So whatever happened to salvation by faith?

A Cruel and Dark Battle
Note the use of the words “cruel” and “dark” in the following quote, also from Rick Joyner’s ‘Civil War’ vision.. [All Emphasis Added]

On February 23rd of this year I was shown for the third time that the Church was headed for a “spiritual civil war”…the definition of a complete victory in this war would be the complete overthrow of the accuser of the brethren’s strongholds in the Church…this will, in fact, be one of the most cruel battles the Church has ever faced. Like every civil war, it will cause brother to turn against brother like we may never have witnessed in the church before…this battle must be fought. It is an opportunity to drive the Accuser out of the Church, and for the Church then to come into unity that would otherwise be impossible… what is coming will be dark. At times Christians almost universally will be loath to even call themselves Christians. Believers and unbelievers alike will think it is the end of Christianity as we know it, and it will be, through this the very definition of Christianity will be changed for the better. The Church that emerges from what is coming will be full of unprecedented grace, unprecedented truth, and unprecedented power. [26]

Joyner says “the very definition of Christianity will be changed”. Which forces the question…  if God had planned to do something so radical, why didn’t He who “knows the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10), utter a single word about this huge refashioning of Christianity.

Or, perhaps the truth lies with Jude 1:3 that tells us to contend for ''the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.'' It is a little difficult to weasel ones way around Jude’s very unambiguous words.

Freeing The Slaves:
And the main reason for this war? Just as in the American Civil War that it seems to be patterned after, the primary purpose is going to be to free the slaves (in this case the ‘spiritual slaves’) who are being held in “spiritual bondage”… all of course “for the sake of unity”. [All Emphasis Added]

Again, the main point in the impending civil war will be over the institution of slavery or the institutions of spiritual slavery. When I speak of “institutions of slavery”, I am not necessarily speaking of denominations, but rather of any organization including denominations or movements, that are holding their people in spiritual bondage. The longer we continue to compromise with such institutions, which use manipulation or control for the sake of unity or any other reason, the more it ultimately cost us to remove the cancer from our midst. [27]

So any Christian who does not bow to this foolish doctrine is considered to be in spiritual bondage and a cancer that has to be removed. How then does this make the church any different from the extreme factions of the Sunnis and Shiite Muslims among whom the conflict has gotten so bad that, as an example, a three-mile wall has to be built to protect a Sunni Arab enclave surrounded by Shiite neighborhoods in a Baghdad area “trapped in a spiral of sectarian violence and retaliation,” [28]

While Joyner never actually defines what exactly this” spiritual bondage” means, the meaning becomes self-evident …  [All Emphasis Added]

Another cause for the American Civil War was the compulsion for many in the South to simply “preserve their way of life” or “traditions”. This will likewise be a cause of many conflicts in the impending spiritual civil war…one of the powers of a religious spirit is to honor the things that God has done in the past in order for them to justify their opposition to what he is presently doing… there is a huge portion of the Church held in bondage to the same religious spirit that manifested itself in the Pharisees, and it will attack any new movement that arises in the church. The more anointed a new movement is, the more these traditionalist will be threatened by it, and the more vehemently they will attack it. [29]

Joyner is unfortunately confusing two very different concepts in the above quote. Preserving a way of life or hanging onto ones traditions is NOT the same as using Biblical examples of what God has done in the past to question whether these “New Things” are from Him at all. In fact Scripture commends those who check with the Word of God to see if these things are so. And when one checks with the Word of God, these many and varied anointings are not only unscriptural but a very clear and ominous sign of the End of Days. [See Section on The Anointing]

The Berean’s “cloak of spirituality”

What leaves one open-mouthed is that Paulk actually rebuked Christians that are inclined to test their shenanigans against the Word of God. Disparagingly calling it a “cloak of spirituality”, He said…[All Emphasis Added]

Another cloak of spirituality is when pastors say that every Christian needs to take his Bible and judge the truth for himself. This is not the instruction of God's Word. God gives the five-fold ministry for the "equipping of the saints" and the "edifying of the body" (Ephesians 4:12). Man has no right to private interpretation of the Word of God apart from those whom God sets in the Church as spiritual teachers and elders. [30]

I am afraid that I don’t even want to know how Paulk would have explained away Acts 17:11 (no doubt he would have found a way with more verbal calisthenics) which tells of the people of Berea who…

“… were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

The apostle Paul called examining everything against Scripture “noble-minded”, Paulk calls it a “cloak of spirituality”. You have a choice as to who to believe .. Paul who wrote two thirds of the New Testament, or disgraced leader Earl Paulk.

Brother Against Brother

Others have embellished the civil war “vision”… Wes Campbell, speaking at the Toronto Vineyard, adds: [All Emphasis Added]Dominion-Campbell

In 1984 we didn’t just have a vision about the cup bearer and the baker. He had another one, and that was about the Church. And the Church was gathered in a large civil war-type stately mansion, a big ballroom, and they were dancing. And they were dressed in colorful clothes and happy, and they were moving and they were laughing and they were dancing and they were just having the most wonderful party of their life. And He looked at that and Bob [Jones] began to laugh and he said look at them dance, look at them have fun.

And an angel came and said, wait. Not yet. And then what happened is that strangely in the ballroom, the crowd began to change, and they began to take sides, and they began to have blue coats and gray coats, and in a moment civil war broke out. A bloody civil war broke out. James Ryle has had a similar vision. The Lord even showed him how the blue coats stand for the revelatory, the revelation, and the gray for gray matter, man’s wisdom. And in this context, the North fought the South and the South fought the North, and the South wanted to keep the people enslaved. They wanted their money. They wanted their bodies. They wanted their personhood to keep the system going. And the North said no! Freedom! Freedom! And they went into a terrible fight, and it was father against son, brother against brother, and a man’s enemies were in his own house. And the angel said this: “There won’t be a house that escapes weeping.” We do not know how long this time of visitation will continue in this capacity. But when the time is up you run with all your might, because as this begins to be known throughout the entire Christian community of the world, there will come a polarization, there always has come a polarization. And there will eventually become wars. There will be wars in your household.

Your own family may not understand what’s going on. Your own family may turn against you. That doesn’t mean they’re evil. That just means as Christians they haven’t seen this aspect of the Holy Spirit. ‘Cause they’re Christians. We’re talking about Christians. But the end of the vision was this: That after the time of bloodshed, the Lord was going to heal the breach. [31]

I have no idea how it could get much clearer than this. Campbell unambiguously says the war is between Christians and other Christians and after the time of bloodshed the Lord will heal the breach. This is not as some have professed.. a spiritual war but a physical one, and those who oppose them will become the objects of God’s wrath, poured out during the Tribulation.

That Holy Spirit Steamroller

Dominion-RandolphAlso, as mentioned before, you will be forced to take one side or the other. As said by Larry Randolph, at the Toronto Airport Vineyard during the early days of the “revival” there… [All Emphasis Added]

Now let me say, before I begin, there are two groups of people in the church today. I categorize them. Those that are affected by what God’s doing and those that are offended by what God is doing. There is not a lot of neutral ground. The neutral ground is dissipating by the hour. You can’t stand in the middle anymore and say “Well, I don’t know. Maybe it’s God, maybe it’s not” You’re going to get rolled over. Remember the song “I’m a steam roller, baby, and I’m going to roll right over you?” Well, I think the Holy Spirit is singing that song. There is no middle ground. You’re either affected or offended by what God is doing. And if you’re offended, you may continue to get offended because you haven’t seen nothing yet. If you haven’t been able to run, walk with a footman, what are you going to do when the horses come? [32]

The Holy Spirit is likened to a steamroller that is going to flatten Christians that are not sure if this move is from God or not. So believing on the Lord Jesus is not enough, being Born Again is not enough, living a righteous life is not enough... You have to agree with these delusional lunatics in order to avoid being taken out by the Holy Spirit. Now why was I under the impression that the function of the Holy Spirit was to convict and help. I must be reading the wrong book. (Sarcasm intentional).

“Revival” leader John White, speaking of a coming judgment upon the leadership of the Canadian Church that “God” revealed to him was coming because of their rejection of the “revival” at Toronto, prophesied the following threat:

…I believe a far more terrible judgment is coming on the church, particularly in Ontario, and I don’t know what form that will take. I only know that I have seen it and it frightened me out of my tree. [33]

Fascinatingly, Paul Cain says [Emphasis Added]Dominion-Cain

“Not only will they not have diseases, they will also not die. They will have the kind of imperishable bodies that are talked about in the 15th chapter of Corinthians … this army is invincible. If you have intimacy with God, they can’t kill you.” [34]

The problem (for them) being that the Bible says exactly the opposite. And, in fact, makes a point that Paul Cain and his lot haven’t thought about..

Fulfillment of Jesus’ Prophecy?
While the exact meaning of many of the prophecies in Scripture only become completely evident during the fulfillment or after they have been fulfilled, one can not but wonder how all this ties in with the prophecies made by Jesus who spoke of a tremendous persecution for Christians …. [All Emphasis Added]

"Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. [Matthew 10: 21-22].

"These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling. "They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God. "These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me. [John 16:1-3]

While it is true that there has always been tragic and usually isolated instances of the persecution of Christians in many parts of the world, there has never been anything remotely similar to the scale described in the above verses, especially the ‘doing God a service’ bit. Remember the words of both Wes Campbell and Rick Joyner (complete quotes above)

“…And they went into a terrible fight, and it was father against son, brother against brother, and a man’s enemies were in his own house.” [Wes Campbell]

Like every civil war, it will cause brother to turn against brother like we may never have witnessed in the church before…this battle must be fought. It is an opportunity to drive the Accuser out of the Church, and for the Church then to come into unity that would otherwise be impossible… [Rick Joyner]

Certainly if the more militant faction of the Manifest Sons of God believe Christians who do not submit to the modern day fakes (who call themselves apostles and prophets), and do not bow to their rash and dangerous doctrines are in spiritual bondage and a cancer that has to be removed, then it is easy to see how they could bring about the fulfillment of the end time Biblical prophecies of internal strife, betrayal and bloodshed in the church..

However if they have thought about it at all, there is one point that seemingly has not occurred to them, and that is when Jesus made the predictions He did, He was speaking to true Christian believers, telling them that they would be killed by those that “have not known the Father or Me”.

001orange Chapter XI: The Phinehas Spirit.. The story of Phinehas has become very handy passage for the Dominionists to hang their hats on, since it can be twisted to fit in with their agenda and justify their skewed ideas. However Phinehas was no vigilante. He was following orders given directly by God, through Moses.
